I have over 30 years of experience in accounting and management at both the corporate and mid to small business level within a diverse range of industries; manufacturing, construction, printing, IT services, travel, insurance and legal. During that time my accomplishments have ranged from managing corporate accounting departments; setting up accounting systems; analysis and cleanup of financial records; streamlining processes and procedures; developing management reporting and building financial budgets; always with the focus of achieving efficiencies and increasing profits. I have gained a unique range of practical experience and qualifications to support the success of small businesses and their owners.
I am passionate about helping small businesses succeed. I believe that one the advantages that larger businesses have over small business is that they have corporate controllers and full time accounting departments managing cashflow, monitoring expenses, providing management reporting tools, and supporting the operations of the company. I believe that small businesses also need this level of support on a scaled down as needed basis.
